6: BLACKBURN RVRS's EMERTON made an earth-shattering run up the right wing which ended with cross into the area. Now it was the turn of BLACKBURN RVRS fans to rise to their feet shouting their team on as BLAKE beat IZZET to the ball which he managed to get the faintest of touches on to send the ball bobbling towards goal. Even though FLOWERS had the angle covered his outstretched leg only succeeded in pushing the ball onto the post and over the line. GOAL!

19: WILCOX (of BLACKBURN RVRS) received a square pass from JANSEN and then made a quick brWk up the centre. Once he'd avoided a lunging challenge from QUIQUE he knocked the ball back into JANSEN's path who then cut inside to carry on toward the LEICESTER CITY goal. He took the ball past ELLIOTT, looked across to BURGESS who had made a great run into spac.e but was sent tumbling to the ground after a poorly-timed tackle from HESKEY. HESKEY hung his head low as the Referee pulled out the yellow card.

19: JANSEN writhed on the ground in obvious pain and had to be helped off the pitch by the trainer. He played no further part in this match. BLACKBURN RVRS made a substitution: JANSEN off, DUFF on. BLACKBURN RVRS won a direct free kick.

20: FLOWERS finished organising his wall and DUFF stepped up to take BLACKBURN RVRS's free kick. Their was no doubt in the minds of the players in the wall that they were in trouble. Not only was there a BLACKBURN RVRS player among them, but DUFF had set himself a huge run up. He raced towards the ball and hit it with all his might. FLOWERS was off his line, eagerly back-tracking and only just managed to tip the ball over the bar for a corner.

21: BLACKBURN RVRS had a corner, taken by HINCHCLIFFE. He took a deep breath, a couple of paces, and sent the ball curving into the area. The ball was knocked behind by SAMUEL. DUFF took the corner. He swung it in to the near post with venom. The keeper just managed to react with a outstretched fist and DENILSON cleared the ball.

49: The commotion from the stand as the police snatch squad went in "Italian style to remove some trouble makers did not put off MARSHALL who took a short pass from HESKEY and rushed forward and fired in a cross as KENNA and WILCOX rushed to cover. Both DUFF and AIMAR leapt for the bail but it as DUFF who got a touch to it, managing tc nod the ball safely into the arms of his goalie.

55: The opposing fans were embroiled in a chanting slanging match. Mean while BLACKBURN RVRS's keeper had thrown the ball to DUFF who then knocked it on to O'BRIEN, who neatly chested it down, turned, and ran straight at the back tracking IZZET. He easily got past a sluggish SAMUEL, slowed down to take aim but was brought down from behind by a rough tackle from LEICESTER CITY's QUIQUE. BLACKBURN RVRS won a direct free kick.

56: FLOWERS finished organising his wall and BLAKE stepped up to take BLACKBURN RVRS's free kick. BLAKE powered the shot into the wall. The ball hit MARSHALL, who went down, and the ball was scrambled away. The referee ran over to the downed player to check on his condition. He was Ok and helped to his feet by a team mate.

74: A long throw from AIMAR was nodded on by SAMUEL into BLACKBURN RVRS's box. It was a sloppy ball and it found BLACKBURN RVRS's O'BRIEN who easily intercepted and cleared it to safety.

75: BLACKBURN RVRS made a substitution: O'BRIEN off, JOHNSON on.

75: LEICESTER CITY made a substitution: IMPEY came on for QUIQUE.

83: LEICESTER CITY's goalie launched the ball up field which was first headed by MCNAMEE and then JOHNSON, before MARSHALL stole in and took the ball and put his team on the offensive. MARSHALL took the ball past DUFF but ran straight into WILCOX who dispossessed him. Before he could decide what to do with the ball ELLIOTT came in from behind and brought him crashing to the floor. He jumped up immediately and stamped on the leg of the LEICESTER CITY player. The Referee steamed in.The crowd knew what was coming as did the protesting players. The Referee ignored them, reached for the red card and sent WILCOX off. LEICESTER CITY were awarded a direct free kick but it was a wild shot that was easily cleared to safety by BLACKBURN RVRS's defence.
