6: BLACKBURN RVRS's FLITCROFT passed to O'BRIEN who quickly knocked it on to an unmarked HINCHCLIFFE who started a sprint for goal. He took the ball some distance and then held it up looking around for a few options. He passed to BLAKE on the edge of the LEEDS UNITED area who a fine ball back for JANSEN under pressure from POPESCU. JANSEN stepped skillfully to one side and shot. As the LEEDS UNITED defence watched with their hearts in their mouths MARTYN managed to get his fingers to it, but it wasn't enough and he couldn't prevent a stunning GOAL!
14: BLACKBURN RVRS's FLITCROFT switched the ball to JANSEN on the left. He took the ball skilfully past WOODGATE and wildly swung the ball into the area. It was a stunning ball which was met by the head of O'BRIEN. His header looped high over the goalie who was off his line but it was headed away by POPESCU who was covering and KORKMAZ played the ball away for LEEDS UNITED preventing what would've been a goal.
20: LEEDS UNITED's BRIDGES switched the ball to OSTENSTAD on the left. He took the ball skilfully past MURPHY and wildly swung the ball into the area. OKAN knocked the ball on. The ball came straight to the feet of SHORT who cleared the ball with venom, making sure it would clear the danger area.
27: HINCHCLIFFE (of BLACKBURN RVRS) made an exciting run up the right wing and floated a cross toward the goalmouth. Both BATTY and JANSEN went for the ball. Elbows went flailing and BATTY cleared the ball as JANSEN went down clutching his face. the BLACKBURN RVRS fans were incensed by the challenge. The referee took one look at the downed player and waved play on. This prompted the LEEDS UNITED fans into a chant of "Are you David Ellery, are you Ellery, are you Ellery in disguise? .
41: BLACKBURN RVRS's KELLY dribbled the ball out of the area and knocked it past the on-coming charge of KEWELL. The ball landed fortunately at the feet of FLITCROFT, who then sprinted goalward to put BLACKBURN RVRS on the attack. He took it past WOODGATE and delivered a fine cross into the box. HAALAND headed it clear but only as far as BLACKBURN RVRS's JANSEN who's boot connected with the ball. MARTYN had come off his line and only a header from a covering defender saved the goal.
42: The crowd began to get excited as HINCHCLIFFE stepped up to take the corner. He sent the ba~oward the LEEDS UNITED six-yard box. HAALAND lashed at the ball. MARTYN stood dumbstruck as tue ball smacked the crossbar and crashed down towards the goal line and bounced out to be scrambled away. the BLACKBURN RVRS players were adamant the ball was over the line. The referee waved them away. Play continued.

60: The away supporters had roared in frustration as they noticed one of their players go down in an off the ball incident but the ref was too busy following play as BATTY of LEEDS UNITED had neatly avoided the attention of SHORT and managed to get a cross in before being scythed down by EMERTON. The ball was knocked behind by MURPHY. OSTENSTAD took the corner. He swung it in to the near post with venom. The keeper just managed to react with a outstretched fist and O'BRIEN cleared the ball.
70: LEEDS UNITED made a substitution: OSTENSTAD off, ANELKA on.

71: A long pass by BRIDGES (of LEEDS UNITED) from midfield was quickly brought under control by ANELKA who then made a dash for goal. He was checked by MURPHY but saw that POPESCU had made a swift run toward goal so he played the ball into his path. BLACKBURN RVRS's defence moved up looking for the offside but the linesman's flag stayed down, leaving POPESCU with only the goalie to beat as he flicked a first-time ball at goal. The LEEDS UNITED fans roared as it sailed into the top corner for a spectacular GOAL!
72: BLACKBURN RVRS made a substitution: EMERTON off, DUBERRY on.
75: LEEDS UNITED made a substitution: KERIMOGLU off, BAKKE on.
75: BLACKBURN RVRS's MURPHY beat BAKKE to a long kick from the goalie. He hadn't got very far before he found himself unfairly body-checked by LEEDS UNITED's HAALAND and he stumbled awkwardly to the ground. BLACKBURN RVRS won a direct free kick.
76: MARTYN finished organising his wall and JANSEN stepped up to take BLACKBURN RVRS's free kiO He took careful aim before launching it at the goal. It hit the wall and WOODGATE launched it up field.
