7: ROSENGREN slipped a marvellous ball to JESSEN and AALBORG were back on the attack. JESSEN played a quick one-two with FACIUS to escape the attentions of IZZET and SANUEL. JESSEN then flicked the ball towards the LEICESTER CITY penalty area. There was obviously a lack of communication in defence between HESKEY and TENDILLO collided leaving the ball running loose. THORST ceases on their indecision and carefully slots the ball goalbound.FLOWERS had closed down the angle and his outstretched foot put the ball past the post and into touch for a corner.
8: DISSING played the ball short to THORST who dribbled it a few paces before lobbing it into the packed area. Despite being jostled by TENDILLO and ZAGARAKIS, JESSEN controlled the ball expertly with his instep and curled a shot at goal. The goalie had closed the angle down and managed to tip the ball over the crossbar.
9: AALBORG had a corner, taken by DISSING. He took a deep breath, a couple of paces, and sent the ball curving into the area. JESSEN knocked the ball on. The ball came straight to the feet of ELLIOTT who cleared the ball with venom, making sure it would clear the danger area. 29: AALBORG had a throw-in, taken by HJORTH. The ball looped over ZAGARAKIS's head and fell sweetly for FACIUS. He shook off LEICESTER CITY's LENNON, and set off on a break up the centre. He easily got past a sluggish TENDILLO, slowed down to take aim but was brought down from behind by a rough tackle from LEICESTER CITY's MARSHALL. LEICESTER CITY conceded an indirect free kick.
30: AALBORG's free kick was quickly taken by ROSENGREN who flicked it to JESSEN. He headed it on to THORST who brought it under control and sprinted up the field neatly passing an unprepared ELLIOTT. His brave run ended with a fine cross toward the waiting head of FACIUS. The goalie managed to tip the ball with his fingers but the power of the shot carried it onto the bottom of the crossbar and it bounced down over the line for a GOAL!

51: ZAGARAKIS (of LEICESTER CITY) made a long pass right across the pitch which was received on the chest by HESKEY who turned to attack AALEORG's goal. He did some neat footwork to get past KRUGER and his pace was enough to get him past HJORTH but his luck ran out when confronted by an over-eager KRISTENSEN whose late tackle sent him crashing to the ground and caused the crowd to protest loudly. LEICESTER CITY won a direct free kick.
52: Once the Referee was happy that AALBORG's wall was 10 yards back MARSHALL took LEICESTER CITY's free kick. MARSHALL was now about to find out if all the training had paid off. He Studied the wall and then hit his shot. To the relief of the AALBORG fans NIELSON was equal to the shot and comfortably caught it.
67: MARSHALL's smart dummy took him past his marker and launched him on a blistering run along the left touch-line. His magnificent run ended with a cross into the heart of the AALBORG box. It was a sloppy ball and it found AALBORG's ROSENGREN who easily intercepted and cleared it to safety.
74: MARSHALL brought a tricky ball down on his chest (much to the delight of LEICESTER CITY's supporters) and hoofed a high cross toward the AALBORG goalmouth. It was a sloppy ball and it found AALBORG's THOMSEN who easily intercepted and cleared it to safety.
75: LEICESTER CITY made a substitution: SAVAGE came on for ELLIOTT.
87: AIMAR finished a crashing run down the wing with a beautifully flighted cross into the packed penalty area.It was an awesome ball which landed nicely for HESKEY. His first touch lifted the ball a little and then he flicked it past a stunned HJORTH at goal. Even the outstretched hand of NIELSON couldn't stop the ball from going in. GOAL!
