12: AALBORG had a throw-in, taken by BACH. The ball looped over TEN HAG's head and fell sweetly for THORST. He shook off FC TWENTE's ARTS, and set off on a break up the left. He side-stepped ELZINGA without any trouble, slotted a perfectly weighted ball past VAN DER LAAN to ROSENGREN who took it nicely, dribbled into the box and poked a shot at goal before AUGUSTSSON could close him down. Grief-stricken FC TWENTE fans watch silently as DE KONNING's fantastic dive was beaten by the pace of the ball. GOAL!

27: AALBORG'S THOMSEN suddenly burst from midfield and made for goal, releasing the ball to DISSING who in turn picked out BACH perfectly to continue the run on goal. The fans were now beginning to really make some noise as BACH played a clever back-heel to ROSENGREN who, despite the close attention of TEN HAG, quickly released the ball for FACIUS who seemed to have timed his run between AUGUSTSSON and HILGERINK to perfection but the referee's assistant raised his flag and the ref blew for offside.

33: A long pass by VAN HALST (of FC TWENTE) from midfield was quickly brought under control by TER AVIST who then made a dash for goal. He took it easily round KRISTENSEN and played a short ball to AUGUSTSSON. Under pressure from KRISTENSEN he managed to deliver a great ball into AALBORG's 6-yard box. JORGENSEN rose to catch it but a lack of communication in defence meant that BACH's head met the ball first and it bounced invitingly out to NIELSEN on the edge of the penalty area. He took aim and then struck a shot at goal. JORGENSEN could only stand and watch as it bounced cruelly off the inside of the post for a lucky GOAL!

41: AALBORG's ROSENGREN suddenly burst from midfield and made for goal, releasing the ball tc FACIUS who in turn picked out DISSING perfectly to continue the run on goal. AUGUSTSSON crashed awkwardly into him but he kept his feet and passed to BACH. He took the ball wide, shrugged off a challenge from PAUS and crossed into the box. FC TWENTE's HILGERINK rose but it was the head of THORST that met the ball first. A magnificent dive from the goalie to punch it behind for a corner was met by a groan from the crowd.

42: DISSING knocked the ball short to ROSENGREN. ROSENGREN stunned the ball for DISSING to deliver into the area.With AUGUSTSSON leaning suspiciously into him BACH managed to meet the ball square on and delivered a header at goal. The goalie didn't stand a chance as it smacked into the roof of the net for a truly wonderful GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL!

HALF-TIME: 2-1

52: FC TWENTE's ELZINGA made a long pass to VAN HALST who then neatly turned BACH who was marking him and ran towards goal releasing the ball to TEN HAG, who had stormed up field in support from behind, hoping his momentum would unsteady the AALBORG's defence. The fans were now beginning to really make some noise as TEN HAG played a clever back-heel to NIELSEN who, despite the close attention of DISSING, quickly released the ball for TER AVIST who seemed to have timed his run between KRUGER and BOYE to perfection but the referee's assistant raised his flag and the ref blew for offside.

66: FACIUS and VAN HALST rose to meet a long kick from FC TWENTE's goalie. FACIUS managed to get his head to the ball but couldn't direct it. The ball fell invitingly for TER AVIST and FC TWENTE were back on the attack. His fancy footwork baffled THORST but he slipped as he passed him and the ball ran loose. FC TWENTE's NIELSEN was the first to react and he swung a well-weighted ball toward the far post. VAN DER LAAN rose head and shoulders above the defence and delivered a header at goal. Grief-stricken AALBORG fans watch silently as JORGENSEN's fantastic dive was beaten by the pace of the ball. GOAL!

73: A midfield situation turned into an attack as AALBORG's BACH made a fast sprint toward goal. He waited for support, and before ARTS could close him down he played a square ball intc the path of MADSEN. The crowd could sense something was about to happen and the noise rose to deafening levels. MADSEN dummied the ball cockily past ELZINGA, finishing his run with a fine ball in toward the FC TWENTE box. It was DISSING who rose above the defence to deliver a header at goal. DE KONNING had come out to close the angle but the power of the shot was too much for him and it hit the inside of the post. GOAL!

63: FC TWENTE's TER AVIST passed to HILGERINK who quickly knocked it on to an unmarked NIELSEN who started a sprint for goal. He smoothly avoided FACIUS but was jostled off the ba1 by AALBORG's BACH. FC TWENTE were given a direct free kick.

84: TER AVIST stood with his hands on his hips as the referee physically dragged the AALBORC wall back the full ten yards. When all the commotion was over he proceeded to take the kick. TER AVIST chipped it elegantly over the wall and into the waiting hands of JORGENSEN, the well-placed AALBORG goalkeeper!
