MATCH REPORT
AALBORG vs TOULOUSE
League

9: AALBORG's ROSENGREN made a long pass to BOYE who then neatly turned RODOR who was markinc him and ran towards goal releasing the ball to BACH, who had stormed up field in support from behind, hoping his momentum would unsteady the TOULOUSE's defence. TOULOUSE's LORET took up the chase and it was his messy tackle that sent BACH tumbling to the ground, much to the delight of TOULOUSE's cheering fans. TOULOUSE conceded a direct free kick.

10: The AALBORG bench were screaming at the referee to get the TOULOUSE wall the full 10 yards back. Once this was done the bench settled down and DISSING was able to continue with taking the free kick. DISSING chipped it elegantly over the wall and into the waiting hands oi SCUTH, the well-placed TOULOUSE goalkeeper!

22: KRISTENSEN (of AALBORG) made a long pass right across the pitch which was received on the chest by BACH who turned to attack TOULOUSE's goal. He did some neat footwork to get past MERIDE but was forced wide by PRtJNIER. He turned expertly, gaining a yard on his marker and struck the ball at goal. Even the outstretched hand of SCUTH couldn't stop the ball from going in. GOAL!

29: A long ball from the AALBORG defence was intercepted by LIBBRA, but a beautifully timed tackle by BACH sent the ball spinning into the path of DISSING who made his way toward the TOULOUSE goal. He took the ball on a square run across the pitch, ran into trouble and back-heeled to ROSENGREN who pushed the ball into space. Looking over he could see that THORST had reached the edge of the box so he flicked an inch-perfect ball toward him. Leaning into NOUAILLE, THORST swung wildly at the ball and managed to let rip a surprisingly good volley. Sadly, it was a poor effort that slipped hopelessly past the post.

36: The opposing fans were embroiled in a chanting slanging match. Mean while AALBORG's keeper had thrown the ball to ROSENGREN who then knocked it on to FACIUS, who neatly chested it down, turned, and ran straight at the back tracking LADA. Before he could release the ball DEBU had raced across the pitch and ploughed into him with a tackle so late the crowd had gone home! The Referee called DEBU over to talk to him. The crowd jeered as a protesting DEBU was given the yellow card. The Referee gave AALBORG an indirect free kick. The ball was launched into TOULOUSE's area but TOULOUSE's goalkeeper rose above all the players to claim it with ease.

HALF-TIME: 1-0

51: A midfield situation turned into an attack as TOULOUSE's NOUAILLE made a fast sprint toward goal. On his heels were LIBBRA and LORET leaving AALBORG's THORST a problem on who to chase. He turned inside to pass to FERRER but AALBORG's MADSEN was quick to close him down anc unfairly knocked him off the ball. AALBORG conceded an indirect free kick.

52: FERRER took the kick and sent it sailing towards RODOR. He in turn released the ball to LADA, but as he did he was brought clattering to the ground. The Ref did not hesitate and simply waved play on as LADA ignored the plight of his downed team mate and took TOULOUSE on the offensive. LADA played a quick one-two with LORET to escape the attentions of KRUGER and BOYE. LADA then flicked the ball towards the AALBORG penalty area. There was obviously a lack of communication in defence between THORST and MADSEN collided leaving the ball running loose. LIBBRA ceases on their indecision and carefully slots the ball goalbound.JORGENSEN raced out to close down the angle and contact with his outstretched foot was enough to send the ball a yard over the crossbar.

53: TOULOUSE had a corner, taken by FERRER. He took a deep breath, a couple of paces, and sent the ball curving into the area. It was a perfect cross. Both LADA and BOYE went for the ball but LADA got the upper hand and managed to fire in a shot which THOMSEN bravely threw himself in front of. The ball struck him full in the face and rebounded to the edge of the area where it was cleared. THOMSEN stayed sprawled on the pitch. Play was stopped for the trainer and stretcher to come on. After 2 minutes on the by-line THOMSEN had recovered enough to return.

70: AALBORG made a substitution: RASMUSSEN came on for THOMSEN.

75: AALBORG made a substitution: RASMUSSEN off, PEDERSEN on.

76: AALBORG were on the attack with KRUGER on the ball. He crossed into the box but it was intercepted by the head of LADA which found FERRER. The break was on! FERRER saw plenty of space ahead so he pushed forward whilst AALBORG raced back to defend. A couple of players were arriving in the AALBORG penalty box as FERRER whipped in a cross. It was a long ball and LORET drew away from his marker to head the ball goalward. It was a difficult shot which caused the goalie to parry the ball rather than catch it. Luckily for AALBORG it fell for KRISTENSEN who took the ball safely out of danger.

82: LORET sets HERNANDEZ on his way with a superb pass. He gets to the by-line and pulls the ball back without looking up to check for support.Sadly, it was a poor effort which flew high over the head of LADA and into the outstretched arms of JORGENSEN who'd come out to meet it.
