The World at War (BBC Series): *****; if you're a fan
of World War II, this
series is far better than any movie on the subject. Hour-long
videos cover
every phase of the war, with battle footage and interviews
with those who
werethere. The narration is provided expertly by Sir
Lawrence Olivier.
Blockbuster rents these out at a discount rate, $2 compared
to the usual $3.35.
If you don't like war movies, of course, this won't convert
you.
